For my big dogs, who used to chew a LOT, I would grab their snout firmly, give it a squeeze, and say no bite, very firmly!! That helped a LOT too!!!! Don't see why it couldn't work for little dogs just the same!!

Aww. I think it really depends on their personality. My big baby Max never bit me or anyone. He growls when he wants attention and wants to play. He might let out a little growl if he hears someone outside near our door. He's a big mush ball

Bella on the other hand, is just about 3 months and although I am slowly but surely breaking her out of it, I have learned that its goes along with her personality. I just show her a lot of love and when she bites I give her a sharp no and give her a chew toy. She's only been with me for about 3 weeks now and when I find myself becoming overwhelmed I have to sit back and force myself to remember how she was when I first got her, a cute little savage (I totally mean that out of love lol)
With a lot of love and affection and some Max, she is coming around and while I type this up at work - I just can't wait to get home to them
