| 2 Questions about my baby girl. Well, not really questions. Almost 13 week old female. My 1st time with a Yorkie puppy ever. 1. Sleep habits - She won't let me put her down when she is sleepy. She has to be either on me or beside me. If I try to move her she won't let me. She will no longer lay down and won't go back to sleep. 2. Housebreaking - I have yet to get her to potty outside. Instead she potties only in her cage. I put her in it, she potties then wants out. She's using her cage like a litter box. I've never had a puppy of any breed that did the cage/crate training in the backwards order like this. Any thoughts of suggestions? |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I'm a big fan of the advice on Dog Star Daily. There's a LOT to it, but it's worth checking out. Here are a couple links from that site that might be helpful. Errorless Housetraining | Dog Star Daily Puppy Training (12-18 weeks) | Dog Star Daily Good luck! Life will get a lot easier once you conquer the housetraining.

| Upon further reading here, I am seeing that these are common situations with the pups. Please disregard my post. |

| Ahhh. It's ok, believe me we have all been there. She is still a baby, still learning and she's a terrier with a mind of her own Get a yummy treat (I used peanut butter chips from the baking isle) and use these as good potty rewards, that and lots of PRAISE when she does good behaviors. They catch on quick |
