| potty training... re training? Hi everyone, This is probably my millionth post on here about the SAME problem. Now, Sadie is 16 months old. She has been on and off trained and reliable. Never was it longer than a month. So lately since I have become so sick of picking up poop every single day from the house and getting upset all over again I've been watching her like a hawk. She was getting really good. She would scratch at the back door to go out and pee and poop, and sometimes if I was out she would hold it until I could let her out or even until the morning. So lately that isn't the case anymore. In the mornings ( as long as it isn't raining) she will go outside and pee and poop. But the past two days she will poop in the afternoon when Im not home, and then she will poop after dinner in the house. We weren't watching her as closely at night because she was getting it but obviously we jumped the gun. She was getting so good in the morning that I would watch her from inside instead of going outside with her. Should I be giving her treats every time she goes outside? She is 99.9% with the peeing outside, again as long as it isn't raining. She doesn't use pee pads, she doesn't get what they are for. I am going to put a gate up and keep her in my room when nobody is home so that she has a " den". Any suggestions will help!! |
