| Need litter box training help My Yorkie is almost 7 months old and we are training her to use a litter box because we live in an apartment. I give her a word cue when she walks into her box and another one when she starts eliminating. I keep her box in the same place and don't let her run unsupervised in the house. She started out doing really well and walking there by herself when she needed to go. The last few weeks she has been peeing everywhere and quite a bit more frequently. I don't know if she's going through a phase or if I'm doing something wrong in her training. I'll walk her into her box and she won't go, but then 5 minutes later she'll pee on my carpet. Or, she's squeeze out a little bit while she's in the box (probably to get a treat) and then she'll pee again on the carpet right after. Any tips or suggestions? |
