Yorkie Talker | How to calm an excited yorkie I am not so sure if there is a fact to this. But it sure is working with Moe. Whenever Moe gets excited, he becomes extremely noisy. And this isnt only irritating, it sure is also frightening. Our nanny told us that one of her friends in school (she stays with Myca in school), told her to try this. SPRINKLE SOME WATER (really just a little tap from the faucet) STRAIGHT TO HIS FACE We have tried it a couple of times (since Sunday night, Oct 3 2010), and so far so good. I think it's the cold sensation that shifts his attention to the water drops on his nose. But he really stops and sits and obeys! |

| Try switching to a reward system. Sprinkle water... say the word " quiet or calm " ... he gets quiet... obeys ... mommy/daddy says GOOD BOY ... gives a treat. Eventually take the water out of the picture. I promise you will get better results with positive reinforcement. |

| I am going to try all of the above. Cerise turns into a monster when I get on my computer and start studying. She brings EVERY toy in my home office and barks loud, demanding for me to play with her. Little sassy thing she is.
