| new yorkie owner hello! someone gave me a yorkie and i have a few questions. the main one and im sure its been asked before is about house breaking. we have been keeping him in his crate, and letting him out to eat and to go outside to use the bathroom. the problem is that hes pooping in it at night. that and when i take him outside, he will pee, but he seems to like pooping indoors. also, any recommendations about dog shampoo? i noticed that he gets very greasy and i have been using baby magic on him thus far with ok results. thanks for any and all advice!!! |

| I highly recommend Yorkie Splash & Shine. Here's the link. I've tried several shampoo and conditioners and this is my all time favorite. Toby smells good for about 5-6 days and his coat is so shiny. It's the only thing I use on him. Yorkie Splash and Yorkie Shine | Yorkie Shampoo and Yorkie Conditioner

| Hi, I am a newer Yorkie owner too. Scarlett is 4 months old. I take her outside and she will pee. I've spent as much as 20 minutes outside with her and she does everything from chewing on her pen fence to digging in the grass. Everything but pooping. Then the moment I bring her inside, she poops. I have started really praising her highly for pooping outside and also giving her a treat. She seems to be getting the idea slowly. I ordered a puppia harness and can't wait to get it and see if it makes a difference on taking her outside using a pen area or walking her around the backyard and getting her to go when she should. I'm cusious to hear what other more experienced owners suggest. |
