| 10 month old will not pooh on pad! Desperate for HELP! Im desperate! My yorkie will not poo on the training pad! He will pee on it but not the other. I have done the crate method and no luck and then the moment he is alone he goes poo in a secret spot! Am I destined to never allow my dog to be alone? I have tried to lock him in the kitchen, where the pad is, after he eats and he just throws himself against the door to get out! He is so cute and loving but what else can I do? Please someone give me another idea! Thanks Victoria |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Have you tried putting down at least 2 seperate pads - Bridget will not poop on the same one she pees on. She prefers it to not even be in the same room. She usually poops on the one in my back bathroom and pees on the one in her room. Even if she has an accident it won't both be in the same place.

| yes,,,we have two pads down because we also have a maltese. This way they can have their own pad. You would think he would go on the pad like the maltese...but just pee. I just dont know what to do. |

| There are 3 things you need to have when potty training a yorkie, patience, patience and more patience. 10 months is not very long in the potty training department for these little ones. Maggie did the same thing. We would go for a long walk and Hot Rod would do his business and Maggie would pee outside and as soon as we got back inside, she would run over to pad and poo. She turned 2 in May and will still do this from time to time and she did it often up to probably 1 1/2 years old. One day it will click. Lately, for the about the past month, Maggie has been letting me know that she has to go outside to potty. Yeah! She seems to be preferring to potty outside now instead of on the pad in their pen. We have a pad in the garage as well and she will use that but not in the house so much anymore. Unfortunately, she woke me up at 5:30 am one more because she wanted out in the garage to poo.
