YT Addict | marking training Emmett is three years old. He is not neutered. I tried to train him not to mark, but he was in partial care of my mom who did not enforce the training. Needless to say, the training didnt stick and he marks everywhere. I am moving to an apartment... and Emmett will be spending the weekends with me... maybe full time (we'll see), and I can't have him marking everywhere. Can he be trained at this stahe or is it too late? Are belly bands an option? Thank you for your help and your experience.

| I don't know how effective training can be if: 1) He's not neutered. The main drive for the marking behavior are the hormones produced by an intact male. 2) He lives in two houses with two sets of rules. Everyone needs to be on the same page for ANY training to work. Belly bands only cover up the problem, but they don't solve it. I have used them, but I used them to assist in training as a temporary solution. I'd be afraid of using them long term since they wear it all day, all the time. That means that the pee is held up against their skin all day everyday for the rest of their life.
