| Potty Training Issue Chloe, My 15 week old yorkie is still having a hard time with potty training. We are attempting the crate training method along with potty pads as we don't have a yard. She was doing quite well until recently. The past week she has started having accidents right next to her pad. She will be sitting right next to it and pee on the floor. Any ideas on how I can fix this problem? The stern "NO!" and putting her back in her crate is not seeming to be working at all. |

| Hammer is 8 months and is crate trained. He still has accidents inside. you just have to be persistant and PATIENCE. It will probably take awhile. I personally don't believe in punishment after an accident. You dont want your little one to think the crate is a place for bad puppies. I just yell out NO and thats as far as I go. Yorkies are stubborn and Hammer could just careless. |

Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | Yeah I don't think you should use the crate as a form of punishment or she will end up not liking the crate, which could be bad because they come in very useful at times. Just stick with the stern no when she does it in the wrong place and praise her and give her a little treat when she does it right

| Be patient!!! That is the key word!! It can take even a year! just be patient. Maya is almost nine months and she sometimes poop when alone. Treat your baby when peeing on the pad or outside. Good Luck! |

| As a pup my girls were put on their playpen cover with pads then, I will remove the pads one by one, until they got use to it, now I use this and put the pad inside, it work wonders and no more spills outside the pads remember to use a simple word like "go potty" make sure all your family members use that words so there will be no confusion for the pup, praise your pup every time you see them go, and when you catch them in the act say no on a firm way, because after that they just don't have idea what are you mad at it, small yorkies small brain lol. My girls use the pad inside and they also go outside, only with my supervision. Be patient and consistant is the the key Forgot to mention, we take this box with us, when we go out of town with them, and they know to go, where there box is lol
