As a pup my girls were put on their playpen cover with pads then, I will remove the pads one by one, until they got use to it, now I use this and put the pad inside, it work wonders and no more spills outside the pads
remember to use a simple word like "go potty" make sure all your family members use that words so there will be no confusion for the pup, praise your pup every time you see them go, and when you catch them in the act say no on a firm way, because after that they just don't have idea what are you mad at it, small yorkies small brain lol. My girls use the pad inside and they also go outside, only with my supervision. Be patient and consistant is the the key
Forgot to mention, we take this box with us, when we go out of town with them, and they know to go, where there box is lol
