YT 2000 Club Donating Member | ![]() Razz took at least 4 or more months to warm up to hubby. Now he even will sometimes sit on Daddy's lap. I think one of the things that helped, after I bathed him and wrapped him up, I gave him to hubby to hold, while I finished setting up the grooming supplies and made myself a cup of tea. But he is still my boy I guess overall. He loves his Dad, but Mom is the one he will always come to for nuturing. , if he is scared or unsettled.

| ![]() I'm having the same issue. Our new doggie has been with us almost a week and she barks at my husband. She'll bark even of he just leaves the room and comes back in! I just read that dogs can get "time outs" so I'm going to try it. I have done it twice already and we've made progress - she's gone from a bark to a growl. I say sternly "No bark!" and if she does she gets put in the front foyer with nothing but a piddle pad. She stays in there for 10 minutes before I let her out. My husband just stands his ground and he doesn't scold her or try to "act nice"... I do the disciplining. I hope she learns to trust him eventually. |

| ![]() I've really found that almost every "problem" we have had with Dinky has been solved mostly by time and patience. Now he and Dad are pretty good friends. I'm glad we worked on it though. We really didn't want him to be possessive of me. He still turns to me for security, but he trusts Dad a whole lot too. |
