| Need some Advice! On pooping in the house and baby on the way Phoebe is half Yorkie half maltese mix she is about 11 lbs. For the most part she is potty trained on pee pee pads and will usually go outside. We have never had any problems with this arrangement. We recently moved and I have been having problems with her going to the bathroom where she is not supposed to especially pooping! She will sometimes pee on the pee pee pads actually she does most of the time but then I will find her peeing in some random place (not the rug thank goodness) I keep correcting her and when I catch her in the act I pick her up and take her to where she is supposed to be going. I also take her outside as much as possible and praise her when she goes outside. I feel like eventually I can get a handle on the peeing although any advice would be great! The huge issue right now is the pooping and that she is doing on the rug. Or she will do it just near where the pee pee pad is. I can never catch her in the act so for the past week I have been writing down the times that she goes. For a couple days it was at night, then for a couple of days it was in the afternoon, then a couple of days it was early morning so its almost impossible to pinpoint when she "usually" poops. Some of that is due to the fact that I do feed her twice a day-- Once in the morning and once at night however in the morning sometimes she eats and sometimes she doesn't and sometimes she will eat it in the afternoon. So she never eats at the same time in the morning. So yesterday I woke up at the time she had been going but she beat me to it. So I decided that until she gets on a schedule I would only feed her once a day. I figure in the morning I would give her some treats and leave a bit of dry food out for her. She eats canned mixed with dry and usually won't touch the dry but I figured if she is really hungry she will eat. It could have been just luck but this morning before I left for work we went on a walk and she pooped! I am hoping that feeding her every night as usual will ensure pooping before I leave for work hopefully during our walk. So my question is am I doing the right thing? Is she too small to not be feeding her twice a day even though she rarely eats the meal I give her in the morning? I am also very anxious to get this situation figured out because I am pregnant and the baby will be here in 4 months and I don't want to have to worry about poop/pee in places it is not supposed to be. Also any advice on how to get Phoebe ready for this new arrival? My husband will bring a blanket home from the hospital to get her used to the smell but anything else? A baby doll? Or anything to help her get used to this and not throw this all on her at once? She is afterall my first baby Any help on these issues would be such a help! Thanks-Bonnie & Phoebe |

| first congrats on the upcoming arrival of your first born skin baby..........now for your fur baby..........she is either gonna be trained or not...and unfortunately you dont get to decide...lol......you might try pening her in a smaller area....and when she has had no accidents at all for a week...make the area a little larger....and just keep going from there....with her and the baby issue...make sure you give her time without the baby around..
