| Where to put her "home" (crate) So my fiance and I are getting Dharma in 2 weeks. We live in a 2 bedroom condo. The dining room is attached to the living room and the kitchen is attached to the dining room....then there is a hallway that leads to the bedrooms and bathroom. So our question is where should we put her crate? We spend most of the time in the living room but there is no room for the crate in there. We have it in the corner of the dining room. She can check out what is going on throughout the house from the crate. She can see us in the living room from the crate. We are going to start feeding her in front of the crate so she starts getting used to her home...and once she is used to it we're going to move her food into the kitchen. We were also thinking about putting the crate in the kitchen. The thing I don't like about that is that there is a vent in there that blows out air/heat and she wouldn't be able to see us from there. The plus side of having the crate in the kitchen would be that we can gate the kitchen and have her run around there instead of being confined in the crate...but then we're worried about having accidents because it'd be such a big area. The last question I have...we are planning to put her bed in our bedroom and having her sleep in there. I can't imagine leaving her in a crate all night in the dining room while we're in the bedroom. Any input would be really helpful. Thank you for all of your help!

| Only you would know what your space limits are, but... I would like to have 2 crates. One in the bedroom so she has somewhere to sleep that is near me, and if the dining room gives her the most "viewing" of your normal daily activities, I'd have one there too. But that's what I'd do.
