Barking and Growling...at EVERYONE! So poor Bax, as soon as we solve one big problem, another one starts up. We're growling and barking at everybody now. He won't do either towards me or the people I live with. However, he will growl at my boyfriend (who he loves, but doesn't live with). He growls at people while we're out walking (people just doing whatever...getting out of cars, walking, walking their dogs, eating, anything). He gets all upset when people pass by the glass doors of our apartment. Sometimes I can get him to calm down pretty easily, but most of the time...not so much. Bark Bark Bark Bark Bark, and GGGGGrrrrrrrroooooowwwwwlllll all the time. Help please.

my baby used to do that too, until i literally started restraining him.. when he jumps in my lap in the car and starts going crazy at someone walking in the street i hold him with one hand under his tummy and say no over and over again, it took him a while, but he knows now not to do it.. He also used to nip at anyone who came in my house so i do the same thing, i pick him up and reassure him by saying, give loves and when he growls keep repeating no until he just isnt even interested in whoever it is anymore.. usually only takes a minute or so.. They train so easily, he is perfect now..lol.. he wont bolt when i open the door all because i trained him.. i think just hugging and reassuring him helped tho, with telling him no.. hope this helps.. i know how frustrating it is to have a barker and a nipper...

I've just begun to have this issue too. Whenever I take Niko (8 mos) into the backyard to potty, he thinks he needs to bark. It can be perfectly quiet outside and he will bark. Sometimes I think he just likes to hear himself! My neighbor suggested a birdhouse that he saw advertised that stops dogs from barking. I think he saw it in one of those mail order catalogs on an airplane. Any suggestions? Other than the barking, he is just about perfect!
