| Help with calming Spanky When anyone leaves the house. As soon as Spanky knows I am leaving the house or anyone else leaving. He freaks out.( Barking,Jumping, running at your feet) Once you leave he calms down and is ok. I am trying hard to stop this with no luck. I worry that the excitment will harm him. Also as he can get hurt running down the stairs to follow you to the door. Please help me with a solution to this problem. Thank You Jim |

| Maybe you should put him in an x-pen when you leave so he can't fall down the stairs, thats what I do. As for helping him to calm down, you could try rescue remedy drops, they work well. Also just putting him in the x-pen with a special toy or treat just as you are leaving may help. He just needs to have a routine he can count on. Hope this helps, I'm sure others will have more ideas for you. |
