| ![]() Roxie scratches at the front door when she wants to go out or when she wants our attention. I really want this to stop. She has scratched the paint off the door and the surrounding molding! ![]() She was scratching at the basement door as well, but we stopped that by spritzing her with a water bottle. We only had to do it once to stop the behavior. The problem is that the front door is a greater distance away from the living room, where we usually are. By the time we get to her with the spray bottle, she is already running away from the door. I figure if we spritz her then, she won't know what she is being spritzed for, and the scratching won't stop. Any ideas on how else to handle this?

| ![]() I don't have any advice for you, but Chase does the same thing! We never tried the water bottle thing, I don't think it would matter since as soon as one of us gets up to get him, he is moving away from the door. Hopefully someone else has advice ![]() |

| ![]() Did you see the thread about the Bark Repeller? I know it would work on this behavior as well. It works up to 20 feet way and it has been getting some rave reviews! ![]() http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/tra...-repeller.html
