Training When is the right age to start training bella is now 9 weeks and i would like to start with basic like sit, stay, come and then once she had that all down i could introduce more. What are some good tricks to teach these little guys/girls Also i am in the middle of starting potty triaing and i am doing the liter box and she will pee in it only when i take her to it but she will not poop in it i find then in the living room. Any help would be great. I have never trained a dog to use the liter box just my cats and they were easy. I have placed the box in the bathroom and bring her in every time she wakes eats or every 30 mim and i do catch the pee but can't seem to target the poop yet.

You can start training right now. Sits and down are very easy to teach. You can also teach stay but don't expect your puppy to stay very long. Use lot of treats!!!! Good luck! As for pooping in the litter box. Try putting a little bit of her poop in the litter box and see if she get it.

Thanks, I have done that putting her poop in it and some times she will start to eat it and i say Yucky bell thats not what you eat yucky, and of course she will just looka t me like WHAT did i do something wrong. Is veggies a good treat, bella seems to love carrots and cucumber and almost anything or do you think she is lacking something in her diet. Oh yeah now that she is getting older she is starting not to like her pupy food the dry king which is puppy chow, thats what the breeder started her on so i continued. I have been giving her wet food just so i know she has a full stomach.

Most veggies are good for dogs. Do not give lettuce and onions.

Now would be a great time to introduce the clicker and start clicker-training! My little Yorkie just loves it. You can get more info at: www.clickersolutions.com Joey loves veggies, too - especially carrots - but they sure do increase the amount of poop, don't they?
