Thor's Human Donating Member | Anyone here use the Pet-a-Potty? I see it advertised at the top of the site all the time, but it doesn't seem like anyone has it. I am going to be brutally honest here - I am dying to get the fire hydrant!!! Even though it's like twice as tall as Thor. I'm getting tired of having pads out everywhere in my apartment. There isn't any good place for me to "hide" the pad, so whatever I use, it's basically going to be an accessory in my home. I'd like something that at least looks cute. This seems like I could get a relatively large one and have it be more of a conversation piece. I did a search on YT, and only came up with a few posts about them. One person said that the tray is kind of gross, but I'm thinking I will line it with a pad to absorb any urine that drops down. Anyone else have comments?

| I was wondering about that also. I haven't actually looked into it but it seems a little unnecessary. Kaji does fine on the piddle pads so don't fix it if it ain't broke, right?

Thor's Human Donating Member | But... but... it looks cute! With a little white box, and fake grass! And even a fire hydrant!

| I don't remember the fire hydrant. Now that I want to see the ad, it's not there! Maybe if we type it more.. Pet-a-potty, pet-a-potty, pet-a-potty!

| It does look very cute with the fire hydrant! I don't think I would have the patience for the clean up though, I would imagine it could get quite stinky if not cleaned daily!

| HAHAHA! It worked! I made it appear like Beatle Juice! I like the hydrant. I would probably buy the hydrant only, I think it would be cute in my backyard (if I had one) and it would give Kaji something to aim at.

Thor's Human Donating Member | It claims on their website that the sod lasts for up to a few weeks... since I only have one little yorkie, I guess I am thinking it would stay fresh? I don't have much experience with sod + urine. They do say you need to water the sod every few days to keep it alive.

| I was thinking of getting this.RASCAL DOG LITTER BOX COMPANY, LLC HOME PAGE and putting a pad under the grass to absorb the urine. Pasquale is pretty good with the pee pee pad..but theres time he either misses or just has really bad aim...i'm just thinking he needs a little help . My husband is like you..he wants to buy the fire hydrant. I'm just so confused on how to help him.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | With the number of dogs we've got (7 total, 3 fosters) I don't think it would be practical for us. I've considered one before, because I hate the potty pad flooring look If you do get one Mercury, do let us know how it goes. I'm interested in just how long that patch of sod will actually last.....with 7 dogs, I would give it a day or so I love the fire hydrant, it's too cute!

I am leaning towards getting it. The one other review of it I've seen was a person with multiple dogs, and yes, she said the sod only lasted a few days. I'm hoping with one little dog, that won't be so much of a problem.

This could add up to be a very expensive decorative piece! Anyone considering it might want to test how well their dog will go in a raised surface box. Joey didn't even like it when I put the pee pad on a tray, so there might be more training involved.

Thor's Human Donating Member | Yes, the fire hydrant is separate. It looks like there are some deals on the web. I probably won't do the synthetic grass, and I'll be getting the smallest size (or maybe the 2nd smallest). I think Thor will probably be okay with it because he likes peeing on grass, and it should smell different from anything else in my apartment... but yes, it's possible it won't work. I have some "mad money" that I'm looking to spend on something frivolous.
