Yes I think the weirdo was in a loving way, why take people so serious I'm sure she loves her dog. Anyway my pup, my crazy dog does this same thing....and I give him his bone or a toy like when he gets hubby's slippers.

Thanks for backing me up! It was wierdo in a loving way. I now have more holes in my hand and he bit my lip. This ones evil. He bout pierced my ear again earlier too. Gotta love him!

I read somewhere to yell "OUCH!" really loud and pull your hand away. It worked on Ruger. He will come back and nibble a bit, but as long as he's gentle I just rub my fingers on his teeth and gums -- hopefully I'll be able to brush his teeth one day. I think the book said they just do this naturally and don't know they are hurting you unless you let them know. Once they know they are causing you pain they will back off.

My fear is if they nibble gently on a child, and the child pulls away quickly, there's a possibility they will get cut.

Lewie is teething right now also. He does bite me here and there, but I say no bite everytime and give him his chew toy like everyone recommends.

Sometimes when he bites really hard, I whine really loud (like I'm a dog - for teaching purposes LOL) - and that really starts to teach them bite inhibition.

Hmm these are very good posts. He chewed on me for 2 hours. He did look at me funny when he really got me and I said ouch, gave him a chew as I have continously been doing then when he got bored with the chew he came back for more until he wore himself out in time for me to enjoy ugly Betty. I've put him to bed now. He's so sweet when he's tired and wants to cuddle. I'll try yelping.

You have a dog that pierces lips and ears??? I'd say you were on to a money making thing there.
