| ![]() The other night I came home with some bells I found on the clearance rack from Christmas. I heard that there are some owners that have trained there dog to ring a bell when it wants to go outside. I thought in the back of my mind it was a little far fetched, but for 50 cents I wasn't going to lose a whole lot. I started tyeing the bells on to the door knob, my husband gave me a really strange look. Of course when I explained what I was doing, I had to hear about how stupid I was. After I tied them on anytime she had to go out I hit the bell with her paw, and then opened the door. That was on Thursday night I hung the bell, as of yesteday Raven was ringing that bell all by herself. It was wonderful. The first time she did it my husband was with her, because I was upstairs. He was so excited, but didn't actually see her do it. He thought maybe she just hit it messing around. For the next several hours we just watched her hoping when she had to go out, we would see her in action ringing the bell. Sure enough we watched her walk over to the door, hit the bell with her paw, and sit until we opened the door. It was amazing!!!!!! She's been doing it everytime since then.

| ![]() Wow....that is awesome!! A lady that works in our vet's office said that she used the bell method with her little ones, and I was like you....thought that was a little far fetched, but I'm glad to know that it does actually work! Congratulations and by the way, your Raven is adorable!! |
