I physically can't wash Winston in the tub he hates water and gets sooo upset. What he doesn't mind doing is taking a shower with me! (I have a removable shower head so rising is super simple.) He just chills out at the end of the tub or sits by my feet under the spray if I'm under it. (He hates hates hates water so him sitting under is a huge deal for us.) He still freaks out if I get his face wet, but he chills for the rest of it. Like the other posters mention - I think being in there with him lowers the stress. I'm ok, therefore... he is. Might be worth a shot. | |

| ![]() one side of our sink is bigger and deeper than the other side. And, we have a sprayer faucet. Big help! I fill the sink with a couple of inches of water with tear free shampoo to let his feet soak and then I put him in it. I have two treats, a towel, a cup and the shampoo and conditioner open and ready to go. No stopping once you start! I get him wet, shampoo, rinse, let the water out of the sink. all the time talking to him and giving him a little bit of the training treats. Then do the conditioner, rinse etc. He doesn't like his face wet, but he is letting me get the sprayer closer to his snout to rinse. I wrap him up and carry him to the bathroom for the next adventure....blow drying! I used to have to sit on the floor & hold him and try to dry him. Now I throw the towel on the floor watch him go crazy, drying himself. quite funny! I fire up the blow dryer and he will stand still and let me use the brush and dry him...at a distance. He is getting closer to me. I tried to shower with him, but I thought I'd drop him, so not comfortable for me or him. sorry so long...it does take time for trust and comfort of both you and your baby...much luck.. ![]()

Excellent point - tho I am sure they would argue about it being a 'problem' ![]()
