| Just had to share my excitement! I taught Fergie her very first trick yesterday which was "sit!" She learned it in all of about 5 minutes! So smart! LOL |

| Thanks guys! I taught her sit with training treats and pushing her butt down while saying sit then she eventually picked up. Any tips on how to teach her any more? |

You can also have her sit but putting the treat over her face going backwards towards her head. She will follow it with her eyes and automatically sit on her own, then treat . From a sitting position tap the floor and say "down". This ones tricky but they are so smart. Help her to get down then treat. Do it again, a couple of more times and she'll be going from sit to down. Giving paw is easy also from a sitting position. Have her sit then say "paw". Raise one paw and shake hands saying paw. When she does this, treat. Good luck and enjoy the time spent together. They do loose interest after about 5-10 mins so I wouldn't go to much longer than that. Maybe a couple of times a day and before you know it she'll be the smartest on the block. | |
