| What next??? Hi all. I am getting so fed up . I am dealing with these ongoing allergies to Tommy along with the usual training and puppy issues etc . He is only three months old now. Now I have a problem with jackson. He is over two years old. He got into the puppy food and got the runs. He ended up having the diarrhea in his bed. Well we didnt make a deal about it cause he could not hold it but now he is still pooping in his bed and the poops are totally normal. It is like he has decided to just do it in his bed all the time now. I get up at six am and it stinks and I have to clean it up. I got upset for a couple of days and told him off and he slinks away. Now I try and not say anything cause I am feeling it might be for attention cause of the pup.I try to give equal attention to both but I am running after Tommy a lot to potty train him. Jackson sleeps in a medium size dog carrier. He always has slept in it and loves his bed. Would anyone out there have any ideas what I can do or what might be going on with him. Just seems one thing after another. Last edited by jacksonsmum; 10-15-2009 at 04:47 AM. |

| Anybody out there?Just wondering if anyone has any ideas. Jackson pooped again in his bed last night. It has become a habit. Something he has never done before. |

| I am sorry that you are going thru this. Maybe it is acting up/out for attention from the new pup. I would suggest treating Jackson differently now with the 2nd baby. What I mean is give him priority over the pup. Make sure he eats first and does things first. Example, I would always make sure I greeted Hot Rod first, gave him is food first, treated him first. I think that this gives the older dog a sense that he's still dominat. Hot Rod still gets jealous of Maggie May and she's been here over a year but he knows that he's the dominant dog in the house. Hope this makes sense and helps. It's just like a case of sibbling rivavlry.

| Hi and thanks for you reply. I will try what you said about eating first and putting him first before the pup etc. Seems he has a different way of acting around me too so guess it is from the jealousy. |
