| Aww - you sound a little frustrated. Here's how I did it. 1. Get the book "housetraining for dummies" 2. You may have to adapt the process to your particular situation 3. Never let the baby loose in the house unless it is being supervised 4. Keep the "loose in the house" area limited to one room 5. Put down blankets in the chosen room (so you can save the carpet and remove the urine odor) 6. The idea is to catch the dog in the act and then correct behavior 7. Put your life on hold for at least two months until successful (easier said than done -I know - but it will be worth it!!!) 8. Good luck!

| First, you don't get any sleep for about 2 weeks Well, at least I didn't with my stinker. I took her out EVERY two hours, after she ate, after she woke up, after she played. I took that girl outside to potty at least 15 times a day...AND NIGHT! Once her bladder got bigger I would take her out every three hours, then after she played, after she woke up etc. Now, she is four months old and I only take her out when she wakes up from any amount of time of a nap and after a really hard play session. She now can go from 11pm-7am without having to go outside! Patience is the key word. And even if you JUST took her potty and think she doesn't need to go, THINK AGAIN! I set my cell phone alarm to go off and everytime it did, I was up with her. It pays off, just keep to it. Good luck. I feel your pain! |
