I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() Great suggestion, you want to make the sound aversive enough to get their attention, but not so aversive that they are scared to death.

| ![]() We have used the ultrasonic device and it works well for mine. Problem was, one of my babies, who isn't a barker, HATES it. When we push the button, she runs and hides and stays hidden for some time!! I would love to teach the speak command and then the quiet command but my biggest offender (yet smallest in the house, of course!) won't have it. I can't get her to bark on command!! Any ideas there?? I have started telling her 'enough' and that helps but we still need some work!! I like pennies in the can but, I can't take the noise. That's why we opted for the ultrasonic instead. I think either the can or ultrasonic would freak out the "good" child in this case! Ahhhh! Too many dogs, too many personalities!!

| ![]() Ok, the trainer came out on Mon night and gave us Henry's diagnosis, he's Neurophobic !!! Afraid of EVERYTHING !! (we knew that!), but, basically, we just have to have him face his fears, introduce him to it, show him that it won't hurt him, and keep doing it, till he isn't afraid of it anymore. It's going to take patience and time. So, we'll go from here. She also told us about using a dog whistle, he does very well with that! |

| ![]() ![]() here is some info about it Eliminates barking and annoying behavior by emitting a piercing ultrasonic tone that pets hate, but humans can barely hear. Stop dogs from jumping, barking and biting I would definitely recommend It for Barking Well Yesterday I took it outside when it was Polo's potty time, and he saw a dog he goes crazy and starts barking. I pressed the button for about 5 seconds he tilted his head looked at me like WHAT THE HECK and Completely stop barking. |

| ![]() I normally hold it about 5 feet away. Today he started barking and I clicked it and he stopped barking and I was like 20ft away. It has a warning not to use with in 1 foot of your pet cause it can damage there hearing. |
