Potty Training 101 -- Need Help ASAP I just got my new baby, Mia Bella two weeks ago. This is the first week, we started crate training. I work fulltime during the day, however, I am close enough to my house to check on her at lunch in the crate. Yesterday was her first day in the crate. I go to work around 830 am, so I went to check on her at 1145 am, let her out to potty and she only peed, so she played for about 20 minutes outside...hoping she would poop as well. I put her back in the crate and left for work again. Got home at 515 pm, let her out, she only peed. Got back inside to check the crate and she had pooped in the crate. At night, I leave her in the washer/dryer room that is a pretty good size. I have her pee pads on one side, her bed in the middle, and her food on the other side. Two nights ago, she went to sleep at 10 pm and woke up at 630 am; however, last night she went to sleep around 1015 pm and was up at 440 am this morning....hungry. I took her out, fed her and she played for aobut an hour, and fell back asleep at 545 am for an hour. Then we did the routine all over again. Then she played as I got dressed for work. I put her in the crate again to leave for work, and she was whining very loudly....it broke my heart! Am I doing this right? This is my first baby, and I really want her to be well adjusted, happy, and POTTY TRAINED!!! Help, please!

I work full time too and I'm not able to come home for lunch breaks so I was never able to do the crate training thing. I hope someone has so good advice for you, though. I am still going through potty training, too!! I have a 4 month old and 15 month old.

Thank you! That is what I started doing after two days of the crate training. I have her in my washer/dryer room. The washer and dryer is blocked off so she cannot get caught up between them, but I got a baby/pet gate, she has her bed, potty pads, and food/water. She is very good about going on the potty pads, and I have started giving her a treat when she does go potty when we go outside. I think she has caught on to that, because when she is squatting to potty, she immediately looks at me, and comes over for her treat right when she finishes. However, she still goes in the house too. When I catch her, I say NO! loudly, grab her and bring her outside to finish. I just don't want to do this wrong! Thanks for the advice.
