Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i haven't used it on my yorkie but have used it on other dogs in teh past. if trained with it correctly the dog will respond. they don't like the smell. The collar should be positioned on them so that the spray goes in front of them, it shouldn't hit their face so make sure the collar fits right. its hard to train them not to do something when your not home. There are also products that emit a high pitched sound when your dog barks. Ultrasonic Dog Bark - Home & Garden - Compare Prices, Reviews and Buy at NexTag - Price - Review these things can be placed on tables and not on the dog so they don't have to wear one of those collars.

Yorkie Yakker | I have tried the high pitched sound.....doesn't seem to really work for them. I was going to train them with the spray collar at home first before I left it on them while at work.

| I saw a birdhouse in a Foster and Smith magazine that you hang outside and it's suppose to stop them from barking. I think it's a neat idea, but I don't know if it works or not. I know you wanted something for inside the house....maybe you can check them out and see what else they have. |

| I've tried it for Ellie. It is worth a try but it did not work at all here. She barks at anything and everything (broom, mop, vacuum, etc.). I put it on her and touched the broom. She went into a barking fit and it almost seemed worse than normal because she must have thought the broom was spraying her or something. You can't let the container empty or they won't get sprayed and it is all lost. Well, I think she went through the whole thing in that one barking fit and obviously I couldn't continue to let that stuff soak her, so it was a no go here. That's Ellie though and she isn't really a good model for anything.

Yorkie Yakker | BIRDHOUSE? I will have to check that one out....sounds interesting! If I am in an apt. that allows dogs, maybe they should allow the dogs to bark too!!!!

| You google foster and smith and when you go to their website, search under bark control and the birdhouse is on there. It's $50, kinda expensive, but worth it, IF it works. If you get it, you'll have to let us know if it works. |

| I have the Multivet Spray Collar and it's helped us a lot. No more nuisance barking. He doesn't bark in his crate anymore either. He still barks when he's excited and playing/chasing other dogs and the alerting barking when he senses someone at the door etc. He's never really barked at birds or random noises which was just good for me. Overall I think the spray collar has helped with the nuisance barking but doesn't completely stop them from barking entirely which is good because lets face it, they're dogs, that's what they do. |
