| new yorkie Hi everyone. I need some advice. I brought a 1 1/2 yr old female yorkie home a week ago. I already have a 7 yr old female yorkie. Some of you may know that I lost my angel Buffy in Jan. Precious (my 7 yr old) had lived with Buffy all her life. My problem is that Precious is VERY jealous of Gracie (my 1 1/2 yr old). Of course, Gracie still has a lot of playful puppy in her and Precious doesn't want to be bothered by her. I just want some ideas on how to keep Precious from growling and snapping at her. Gracie is an adorable little girl. I at least want them to co mingle. HELP!! |

| I have put dogs together frequently that didn't get along right away. I think you just have to give it a little time, and when they see that they're stuck with each other, they'll give in. Mine always do. |

| maybe she is just letting the new girl know she is the boss!! i'm sure she will warm up to her soon. it's only been a week. I would'nt worry to much yet. they will most likely be the best of friend before you know it. |

| Congrats on your new girl!!!! Give it some time and patience, it may take awhile, but they will get along I am sure. Just don't try to force them to be friends, your Precious will adapt to her new little sister. But it is important that you don't show more attention to your new girl than Precious. Act like everything is the same, and soon she will too.
