| Collars? Alright!! I'm back to the posting, my baby tatyana is getting better although she runs away when you try and pick her up I guess it's because she thinks you are playing. But the thing is she chews on her collar and she's trying to get it off, now my question is should I put some bitter apple spray on it? to get her to stop chewing on it? only because I'm afraid she'll choke on it and or hurt herself trying to pull it off?? a little help would be so appreciated. |

Yorkie Yakker | My Mom had this problem with her Silky. She had several different harnesses (same style, brand, and size)and many different colors. She found that Sadie would only chew certain harnesses...had to be their colors! The good news is, Sadie grew out of it and stopped chewing them off. A few things you might try: 1. Only have her harness on her when you can watch her. When you see her start to chew give her a vocal correction and try to engage her with a chew toy. 2. Tighten the harness. You should only be able to fit 1 finger comfortably under the straps. 3. Try a different style. Hope this is helpful! |
