| ![]() PetSmart carries the purina second nature, Petco has thier own brand that they sell. I have also found it in a few smaller pet shops and depending on the store if you tell them about it sometimes they will order it in for you. Quote:

How did you train her to do both in the litter box and outside? I am not sure what to do with my Allie. I was told she was pee pad trained but she wants nothing to do with them! I have been taking her outside but she is still having accidents in the hosue and does not let us know when she needs to go out. I don't know if I should try to litter train her and I don't know how to get her to use the Pee Pads. I work during the day so the litter training would be great! She is small and will be under 5 lbs when she is full grown so i know the Winter months are not going to be fun. Plus I want to take her when we travel and I want her to be able to potty either on pee pads or outside if needed. Help! ha! I don't know what to do or how to do it!

| ![]() With Silvia, once she was trained to the litter box, I would take some used litter and sprinkle it on the grass outside. She immediately recognized the scent and used the bathroom. You also mention wanting to travel with her and her be able to use both: if I don't take a small litter box with me when traveling, she will always use it outside, I've never had a problem with her being confused or anything, if that's what you're asking.

| ![]() I bought a UGO dog pad holder first. I got Hobson right before Christmas. and trained him to use the UGO dog pad holder. I got Ella in February and was told she was pee pad trained. She is 6 weeks older than Hobson, so silly me, I believed it. She won't use the pee pad holder, I don't think she likes the grate feel on her feet. So I put down newspapers where he would pee in the kitchen. It worked. Now I am going to put the UGO in the same corner without the grates and put newspaper in it. If she is good and continues to go there, I will add one half of the grate. If she is still good after a week or so I will put the remaining side of the grate on. I guess some would say why use the grate at all......but I like the idea that they are not stepping in their pee when they have to go again. I also bought a Pet Loo. Both dogs like the artificial grass. I hope to eventually have the UGO in my bedroom and the Pet Loo out in the family room. (That is whenever I feel I can trust them enough.) Now as far as outside.....Hobson will go pee outside, rarely poo. Ella will do all outside when I am home. Beverly ![]() ![]() |
