From experience then, what is this amazing cleaner? I've been using Miracle Spray for our tile, but clearly cleaning up carpets is not going to be as easy as cleaning our tiles is! -Vicky |
I use Nature's Miracle. If that doesn't pull all the yellow out, I add Oxyclean and let the solution sit for several minutes. |
GOOD BOY THOR!;) I know you sounded soooo frustrated at the beginning of this thread. I am proud that you can see progress!! We WILL have little buddies that can run free, and we WILL be able to sit back and not watch every move they make. LOL This is Bonnie's first day after her spay. She spent the night at the Vets. First thing she did when I put her down was to use her potty pad. Then she had a big drink AND used her potty pad. YEA BONNIE!! Of course that is not to say she might also go where she is not supposed to.... |
Penny is lost in her training! I hope this is related to her getting spayed on Wednesday, but Penny is NOT using her pad consistently. Yesterday she made 3 puddles on the pad, 4 puddles and two piles in the kitchen. Today she has gone potty twice in the office and twice made piles in the kitchen. |
Poor Penny, I hope she gets her system back to normal soon. Maybe when she feels better, she will want to please you and use her pads to make your happy:) You think a cat would have been easier? LOL LOL |
OH CRAP (no pun intended) Well today, I caught Bonnie turning in circles in our foyer. I picked her up and hurried her to the bathroom and set her on the potty pad. She then ran off and squatted. I was able to pick her up and place her back on the pad before she went:( She did go on her pad, but she had no intention of using the pad in the first place... |
Sometimes I think the corrections are almost important as good potties. You doubly reinforced the right place to go. Good for you for seeing the signs and setting her up for success. :) |
Zoey wont use the pads My Yorkie wont use her pads...she potties everywhere in the kitchen except on the pads :( any advice. I just got her yesterday so I know it take time but I wanted to know how could I encourage her to use it. I even got the spray. Its hard to catch her cause when I get up she runs to me. |
In my experience, the sprays do not work at all. Try blotting the pad with some of her own pee from an accident. Then make sure to clean up any accidents with an enzyme cleaner, like Nature's Miracle, so that the only scented place is the pad. Are you using an xpen or anything like that? A lot of people just line the entire xpen with pads so wherever she goes, she's on the pad. Then they gradually cut back to just one pad, or train for the outdoors. Good luck! :) |

I want to house train her because she will be home a lot by herself...I got her a pin...but she jumps and hits her head on the top so I let her out. I know that's bad...I'm going to try tonight to leave her in there over night. I have hard wood floors not so its a easy clean up but I move in three weeks and I want her to be able to use the pads by then. |
Also, she cries when I take her outside |
How old is she? I hate to tell you this, but she is unlikely to be fully house trained in three weeks if she is a puppy. The move itself could throw her off track. I think on the pen, she'll probably figure out on her own that when she jumps she gets an ouchie on her head. It depends on how hard she's hitting her head, I guess. |
She doesn't cry or anything I just feel bad for her. She is almost 4 months. I know she will still have accidence but I want to use it at least most of the time |
I got a happy Easter gift from Daisy! Finally we have moved on to Day 2!!! After 3 months of day 1. No accidents yesterday. And my house was so busy with people I thought for sure it would throw her off but she had an awesome day! Yippee! |
Yay! It's another Easter miracle! :) |
