| ![]() we have a year old Yorkie (Sophie) who KNOWS where to pee (her potty pad or the fake lawn) however.....it appears she wants to "mark" territory. and sometimes pees on the carpet and Now, our bed. What can we do? Desperate!

| ![]() Spray the spots with an enzyme cleaner like "Nature's Miracle" really good and scrub then I got a spray called "No potty" or something like that and sprayed over alllllll of the areas that my two liked to pee and soaked it with that stuff. The peeing of the bed stopped :-)

| ![]() thank you, but i dont think thats going to resolve the problem. We DONT see WHEN she does this, so its very difficult to spray AFTER ther fact. I believe she is trying to mark her area. I just dont know if she actually KNOWS better or not. I use the recommened cleaner when needed, problem is its Always AFTER the fact.

You always use the cleaner after the fact. It gets rid of the protein that makes her return to the spot. Also, humans may be leaving a "mark" if you know what I mean, and perhaps this scent is attracting her, so the spay would work for this as well. If you have a black light, you can purchase them at pet stores, shine it on the bed, and spay any spots with Natures Miracle, these spots are invisible to the naked eye, but the black light will show up any body fluid spots. Has she been spayed?

| ![]() yes, we have a black light, and yes, we spray after shes done her thing....even though we dont know when she does it. we only find out, when we either see the spot, or feel it. it has not helped, beleive me. she has a potty pad down always...and that little fake grass area, which she does use, she just ALSO goes elsewhere. I just cant figure out WHY, or what else we could do to stop this. thanks.

| ![]() Well if you can't watch her, I would restrict her areas more. Maybe instead of putting her in a bedroom where she has access to pee on the bed, put her in the laundry room, or kitchen, bathroom, or wherever... or put her in a crate. The only way to stop the behavior is to watch her 100% of the time and when you can't watch her, to restrict her access to those places she likes to mark and pee.

Lucky will be 1 yr old in a week and he started marking my bed 2 weeks ago. I was in shock. He was trained and doing great and then out of the deep blue sky he started marking my bed with me laying there watching him. Let me say that I loved him sleeping with me more than anything. He has been sleeping in my bed since I got him BUT no more. I keep the door shut and the only time he is allowed in there is with his belly band on. He now sleeps in his bed in the kitchen and loves it in there. I miss him but I can't have him peeing or marking in my bed. Im out on that. lol... Good luck ![]()
