![]() i have some problems with my yorkie. we've had her for a week and she seems really good when we're at home. but when we leave for work she is just one big bottle of trouble! when we're at work, we leave her blocked off in the bathroom. we give her a crate with the door open so she can go in. we give her all her toys. we give her water. we give her newspaper to pee on. when we're at home, she pees on the newspaper, no problem. she goes in the crate to sleep or rest, no problem. she plays with her toys, no problem. when we're at work... she cries and barks when we leave her and we don't even know if she stops because when we get home, we can hear her from outside still barking. she goes pee EVERYWHERE. she doesn't pee on the paper and pees everywhere, including her crate. any suggestions??

| ![]() Welcome to YT ![]() ![]() How old is your baby? Sometimes these things take time - especially for a little one. Some people leave a tv or radio on to help their pup. Or a ticking alarm clock might work - that repetitive soothing noise. Hopefully others can provide you more advice.

![]() yes her name is pepsi, she's a darling... most the time. she's 7weeks, almost 8 weeks. i know she's still young, but she does understand and it's only when we're gone that she turns into a peeing machine. i hope she gets used to the environment soon b/c we live in a townhouse and i would prefer not to get kicked out! thanks!

![]() Try the tv or music and maybe your dog has too much freedom, try a playpen in the living room instead of the bathroom. It might feel trapped in the bathroom and probably just wants to know whats going on in the rest of the house.

![]() well my bf goes home during his lunch break and feeds her and plays with her for an hour. sometimes she's good and eats and plays. other times she just keeps barking, as if she's mad at him. we keep the tv on for her so she can hear conversation going on (and also to partially drown out her barking for our neighbours). i will try to put her outside in the living room, but i'm just scared she'll pee all over the floor. thanks for the input!
