| Peeing Right, Pooping Wrong! What to do? I have a 18 weeks Yorkie. I only got him from the breeder a week and a half ago. It only took us 4 days to wee wee pad train him and has had no accidents both in his area (gated off kitchen) and our living room. He's been a bit harder to train in terms of pooping on the wee wee pad. But as of yesterday, he seems to know to poop and pee on the Wee wee pad in the living room. But when it's in the kitchen, which is his domain - he pees on the pad every time but when he poops he poops in the SAME spot in front of the fridge. What should I do? I was told to catch him in the act and then put him on the pad to tell him. Which Ive done many times, but he goes back to the front of the fridge to poop. Today, I did it twice (to a point he just didn't poop) and the second walked out to change for work, he poops in front of the fridge again!!! What can I do? |

| Wash the floor in front of the fridge with an enzymatic odor cleaner you get from the Pet store He smells that this is the place to go also watch him when he is getting ready to poop Little guys like him tend to poop very soon after eating so you're likely to catch him in the act Scoot him right over to the paper and praise him like hell He'll get the idea

| I do catch him in the act. But he walks off the paper or "loses" his poop and end up not going. But I will try the cleaner and maybe this will just take time. |

| he he. same thing here. ^^^^. one time I was trying to get her to the potty pad and she continued to poop as I was carrying her there. I read I think on here if you catch them in the act of pooping to push their tail down and they will stop. I have started doing that and it works to stop her from going. *at the moment. But still does her #2 business where ever she feels. |
