| GR... Marking EVERYWHERE!!!! I purchased my baby about a month ago from a breeder. He is 10 months old. The breeder told me that he is potty trained, but guess what? He is NOT! The only reason I got a older puppy is because I do not want to go through the potty training process. Anyhow, I guess I have to train him all over again, which I do not mind. The only bad thing is he MARKS EVERYWHERE IN THE HOUSE. I caught him a few times, and I said NO to him, he got scare and hide in the cage. But he did it again and again. He is not neuter, but I already schedule a neuter service with vet on 9/18. I did some research and some said it does not help much if the dog is over 6-9 months because he already has the habit of marking territory. Is that true? And is there anything I can do to correct his habit? I tried to use bellyband, it does not really correct him, it just hold up all his pee and make him really smelly. Advice please |

| I don't really have any advice, but I do want to say that my yorkie was neutered at 1 yr old, and he does not mark inside. I hope others on here can help.

| Our dog Tico, started marking everywhere. Pissing on his cage, on the water cooler, on the computer desk, on the couch etc etc etc. You get the picture. It was so frusterating. We had one option, and that was to neuter him. He was over a year old when he was neutered. When Tico was neutered he went from about 35% potty trained to 90% almost over night. He just stopped marking his territory. So Tico is proof that it is never to late. |

| I agree that even late-neutering can help with potty training. The males I've had became much better pets after neutering and easier to train. One of my past yorkies was 2 years old when he was neutered and was impossible to potty train. After neutering, he was a changed dog. Hope this helps.

| Yep - I agree with the others due to my testamony of having my Littlest Mac neutered. He was also 'starting' to mark everywhere - going pee multiple times while outside (just a few drops here and there) and also inside peeing on his older and bigger "brothers" beds!! Not a good thing. I had him neutered at 6 months of age (just over 2 months ago) and now he has stopped marking 100%! And he is much better at holding "it" until we take him outside too. Accidents in the house are very rare now (maybe once every 3 or 4 weeks). Go Littlest Mac!

| not to burst your hopes, my Yorkie even after fixing STILL goes in the house, he gets loads of times out in the yard, I blamed it on getting him at 6 months old. My other Yorkies all trained easy at 3 months old..this one is the only one I haven't been able to train.. Good luck to you, send me a personal note if you have luck with yours..

| Great to see you are getting him neutered! Let us know if he still marks afterwards or stops, please.
