| Growling and snapping at another puppy Hello! So I've been reading about growling and aggression all through the site and haven't found one that gives me quite what I'm looking for haha. So my 10 week old yorkie Walker LOVES the puppy next door. He's a 5 month old doberman named Jager. They both get super excited and are closely monitored when playing together since Jager weighs 10 times as much as Walker. The only issue is that Walker occasionally starts playing rough. Full on growling and snapping. I'm worried that Jager's going to freak out and bite Walker. Is there someway to stop the aggressive behavior before it starts? Or should I just let him learn his lesson? Our current action is we seperate them until Walker calms down and stops growling. Is this the best action? or is there another better option so that my furbaby doesn't get eaten by Jager. |

I think what you are seeing is well controled play behaviour with lots of noise. If the one that loks like it getting the bad end of the deal goes back to play after you splti them up it play. If it does nt and it looks concerned it not play. As I can not see for sure it is hard to tell. JL
