Then you have to clicker it to get its butt tucked in close to the stoll. Cause you have to shape it closer ad closer to the step so it looks like it kneeling. Then you get it to drop its nose down between its front paws on the stool. Best thing to do is to lure the sit with the feet up and then work on getting butt tucked then stick in the head drop. Head can not go down before butt it tucked in as the dog can not do the tuck motion before with head down. Next time if I miss a ?? asked of me, do not be afraid to PM me for the answer. I get busy and sometimes do not look back in posts. JL

| ![]() I am trying to teach Choco to crawl...... but he keeps standing up and walking towards the treat.. I make him lie down. and then wave a treat in front of him and say crawl.... But as soon as I say crawl, his butt raises and he starts walking. I do not put the treat so far that he needs to get up and walk towards it... but he does anyways. Any tips?? ![]()

| ![]() as soon as he raises you need to say "down down" with the treat in your hand and his nose smelling it! wait Until his entire body is “down” again, then kind of pull away the treat from him and say crawl crawl as soon as he crawls just a little bit say “good crawl” or “yes” then give him the treat, then he’ll eventually get it than start stretching out the “crawl a bit longer” he’ll get but remember as soon as he gets up say uuggghhhuhh down down you can even help him to put his body down ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() Try having him crawl under a towel or through a box low enough he has to keep his butt down. JL

Eddie's got the same problem with his butt going up too fast. His head and front legs stay down, but his butt is up. I like the suggestion above of having him crawl through a small box or something. I might try that.
