lol ... I don't want to get into the middle of a full scale war But puppies do use play as an aggression device Your older dog is being aloof because she doesn't want to acknowledge this little upstart I had a dog in the past .. a Min Pin and we brought in a new puppy after four years of her being the one and only She wouldn't even LOOK at the puppy for months when the puppy would come in the room the older dog would leave I think your puppy might be trying desperately to get some attention from your older dog and it now has led to out and out aggression Bring the dogs together into a room you have one and someone else be in charge of the other with the puppy everytime she looks at the older dog with out aggression praise her and give her a treat if she growls or tries to run over to her stop her with a quick sound to catch her attention with the other dog it's the exact opposite everytime she looks to the puppy praise her and slowly increase the closeness over time you might want to limit the puppy's access to the older dog for a while so this can take root |

This sounds VERY GOOD!! |
Thank you! Your post totally describes what has happened with the intro of our new little guy. I decided yesterday that the older one will get praise and a treat for acknowledging the baby's presence. He seriously turns his nose up at him!! Thank you for this post!:D Quote:
