Keoki Was a Bad Boy Today... For some reason my sweet Keoki stood right next to me and pee-peed on an area rug I have- I was shocked!!!! He is wee wee pad and outdoor trained - then about an hour later he did the same thing on my living room carpet which is totally out of character. Is this normal? I don't know if he was upset about something but I am also concerned because I read a thread earlier about diabetes- my furbaby definitely drinks alot!!! But he rarely has accidents- any suggestions????

Get thee to a vet You don't say how old Keoki is, but I would definitely see if it's a health issue or a training issue. When my little guy started doing the same thing, I took him to the vet and we found he was starting to have kidney problems (a small cyst). We kept watch over it and, thankfully, it didn't get any worse, although he could drink a lot of water! It was good to rule out any potential health issues right away.

He will be 1 next week - he has been completely potty trained ( well not completely ) but always pee pees on the wee wee pad or outside- he just did it again this morning. I am pretty vigilant about his walks and schedule - it just seems like out of the blue behavior?? Does this happen when they are still babies?? Are there times when they regress a little?? Thanks!!!

| If he doesn't normally have accidents then I would take him to the vet. Have him checked and make sure nothing is wrong. Sometimes its an easy fix.

My 7 month old girl kind of did the same thing after a long run of good potty habits. She was recently spayed (3weeks ago) and regressed to having accidents in the house. I am just being super diligent with taking her outside evey two hours and not taking my eyes off her when she is in the house. Good luck with getting Keoki back on track!!
