| Clicker Training I am new to Yorkie Talk and Yorkies but I have seen lots of questions about housetraining. Just thought I would share what I am doing with Paco. I saw a thread on using a bell at the door and I also investigated clicker training. Paco responds to the clicker very well and we have been doing the bell for about 10 days. The only problem I found was that at first, if I left the bell on the door he would ring it over and over waiting for a treat. Now, I put the bell on the door, get his collar/leash on and then stand at the door and wait. When he rings the bell, I open the door and we go out. Last evening, he rang the bell by himself, I let him out and he went potty immediately!!!! I was so excited!!!! Anyway, here are the websites I got the info from. Hope it helps someone. It certainly helped me!!!! clicker training and dog training videos Housetraining Your Puppy | Karen Pryor Clickertraining Paco's Mom |
