| ![]() ok, my puppy Milo is 4 months old and we've had him for a little more than a month (we got him june 1st.) He'll go to the bathroom outside sometimes (usually early in the morning after he wakes up and at night right before he goes to bed), but other times he'll just wait until we take him back inside and he'll go on the carpet. A lot of the time he dosent go to the bathroom where we can see him, he basically hides. We take him out after he eats, drinks, wakes up, but he almost always waits until we bring him back inside ![]() |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() You could try staying out longer until he goes. I remember having to stay outside with one of mine for 30-45 mimutes at a time. Also try crating him when you bring him back in if he didn't go. He is still young but he will get it!

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | ![]() Hello and welcome to YT! Some will say to try crate training, I have tried and it did not help. Mine are pretty good and will go to the door, but I have to watch them like hawks! My boys both wear my wee wee wraps, I just don't trust them, when they have them on, I no my carpets are safe! Post pics of your lil guy! |

| ![]() Is there a regressive period during housebreaking?? My boy was doing absolutely great for about a week and now he's peeing on the carpets. I don't get it. Also he is acting strange when we go to pick him up (he wants up on the couch) he avoids our hands, like we are evil! We have never hit him or done anything that would make him afraid of our hands... Is this just a phase?

| ![]() I have a 4 month old as well, potty training is going well but we've had setbacks. Scion would go in her crate thats just big enough for her and thats it. But I stuck to a schedule and then noticed if I covered the cage with a blanket played music and gave her a kong toy with food in it she would not mess the cage before I got home. I have also have had the problem with her going to the bathroom inside after I just took her out. Sometimes I think she is stubborn but just keep your pup for a set time such as 10 to 15 mins if she or her will not go bring them in and try again in 15 to 30 min. Most important of all Praise the pup and give them treats just for going. This will give them more reason to go outside. |

| ![]() When I take Mufasa outside I always have to wait a few minutes. He'll kinda just look around for a while and then he'll start sniffing for a play to go. My kids think if they take him out and he doesn't IMMEDIATELY go that he just doesn't have to. I tell them they have to wait for a while because he WILL go. I bought a belly band for when the kids go back to school in the fall that I will put on him during the day since they won't be home to take him out. He does still have his accidents but it's our fault for not taking him out enough at times. |
