| Taking him outside/Crate First of all I just LOVE this website. I'm getting so much great information. O.k. here is my question. I want Mufasa to sleep with me ALL the time. I'm trying to potty train him by taking him outside quite often. I don't want to put him in a crate at night because I want him to sleep with me. Is there anyone who doesn't use the crate and just takes their dog outside. Mufasa has had a few accidents but he goes tinkle outside ALL the time. What do ya'll think? |

| Personally I wouldn't sleep with him until he's house trained and can hold himself all night. I used a crate with an expen attached to the front of it and water and pad down at night. Worked perfectly. |

| Well when I first got Abbey I wanted her to sleep with me of course, well bad idea bc in the middle of the night she peed IN my bed. I had to get up at 3am, change sheets, ect. It was terrible!!! So from then on she slept in her cate until she was potty trained. She is now 5 months old and decently potty trained and I have just, as of last week, began to let her sleep with me in bed. No accidents at all and I love waking up to her little face next to mine. So, my advice would be to wait bc it's not fun to deal with middle of the night pee in your bed. But once she is ready you will love it...don't rush it, get her properly trained first and using a crate is the best way to do it!
