| Putting on clothings for Choco I have seen so many of your dogs with clothes on and with no arguments from the yorkies... how do you guys do it? My original owner included one shirt for Choco, and I tried it yesterday... He did not like it at all... and for some reason, it seemed kind of small (he is only 3lbs though) and he was walking very weirdly... Florida is very sunny. I would think having doggie sunglasses and doggie hates are very good for the dogs?? And I would very much love Choco to get used to wearing sunglasses/hats... but I do not see him liking it very much... What should I do?

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Some dogs dont' like the clothes. I think being in FL it's rather hot and it's probably the biggest factor in him not wanting to wear clothes. You can start slowly maybe and just put it on for a few minutes and offer treats.

| When I first started putting clothes on my Chi, she hated them. She would wear them & then manage to get out of them in about an hour. Persistence is the key. I would put the shirt back on as soon as she took it off. It took a few weeks, but eventually she got used to wearing clothes & now she LOVES to wear clothes, no joke! She always gets really, really excited when I decide to dress her up Good luck! Amy

Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | I started putting clothes on like when we went for a ride, then took them off, just short times, and something different like a trip to starbucks....it distracted them. But I have one that absolutely hates clothes, she acts like someone beat her. I gave up, I dont want her feeling bad. Her hair is really thick so shes warm most of the time. The only one that has something on all the time is Dakota. His hair is cut, its thin and besides getting cold I dont want him getting sunburned. He lays in the sun everychance he gets. So if nothing else he has a tank on. Keep trying for short times and make it when your doing something to distract them, maybe that will help. |

| Give lots of treats, goodies and praise when she has the clothes on. That's what worked for me. Don't know if sunglasses are feasible though, since most dog's don't like anything on their face. Good luck! |
