| HELP!!! Dog sitting not going well. They just had a fight and I didn't know what to do. I yelled at them and made them go in their crates and slammed the doors. I know I shouldn't have yelled and slammed their doors, but I was mad. The dog I'm dog sitting is good, it's my little girl that starts it. She's always baring her teeth at the other one and growling. i tell Rosie "no" firmly but it isn't working. What should I do? I'm dog sitting until next Sunday Help! |

| boarding Never trust them alone...I would put up a gate in the kitchen or a spare room if possible and separate them until Sunday...this is a common problem with caring for dogs...it works best when you have a play area separate for boarders. Best wishes |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I have seven dogs and yesterday was dog sitting for three of my puppies which I do quite often. The weight fron 4.2 lbs to over 16 lbs and get along well. For training I would give my dogs a treat every time a different dog comes over. They begin to think that is a good thing. I make sure the visitor has a bowl of food and water different than my dogs. My dogs are now conditioned to like even a strange dog coming over as they get treats and praise for just being nice. If you plan on doing this often training will help. If it is just once then keeping them apart is the way to go.

| It sounds like she's getting territorial, which is typical. I would try and separate them until Sunday.

| Thank you for your advice. I don't have a gate and would hate to lock up either of them. Instead I keep giving them treats with them sitting next to each other. This is helping a little. We even caught them play a little. Thank you |

| Your little minx is just jealous. Start out by making sure u give any treats and dinner to your girl first.
