| are there just some dogs that can't be potty trained? Ok, I am an old hand with dogs. We currently have a 7 year old lab and a 3 year old yorkie who have no problem with going outside to potty. Well 10 months ago we got another yorkie (our little Lexi) who was almost a year old and she still isn't potty trained. She is now almost 2. We've crated her, take her out on a schedule, bribed her with treats, etc, etc, etc, and she still pees where and when she wants to. Our home is a maze of gates to confine her to certain areas. My question is are there older yorkies out there that never get it?

| I took in three rescues which were my first yorkies.. much harder to train.. but they did train... sounds like you have had her one year now.. If so I am surpised that she is not going outside at times with the other yorkie.. I do know it is so much easier to get them younger.. but mine were all over two when i got them and they did train.. stay out side with her until she does go..You almost have to start like she was a baby again...anne |
