| ![]() I am sure there have been many posts on here about this terribly different subject. I have a 4 month old female. I have had her for two weeks. I had to teach her everything....she didnt even understand the word no. Well if I put her in the bathroom where her crate is she will pee on the wee pad but if I let her run in the house she pees and poops everywhere. When I catch her I say No and bring her to the same wee pad and make great spectacle on how good she is. I have the potty spray and I bring her to the potty pad after she plays, eats or wakes up from a nap but she still pees where ever she wants. She also doesnt listen very well. I am getting just a little discouraged because my other female is the most obedient fun loving dog and when I was traning her it was a cake walk. So is this normal....maybe the new puppy has ADHD....haha...Any suggestions, comments are welcomed....PLEASE HELP.

| ![]() You have to remember she is a little baby...she doesn't know much yet. You will have to teach her EVERYTHING. Potty training a Yorkie is...a challenge. ![]() I believe you should not give your puppy run of the house until she is fully potty trained. You need to give her small amounts of freedom..once she has proven that she can handle it. You can add more room. My little guy, has full run of the downstairs. We are now working on the upstairs rooms. We did have a huge set back when he hit 5 months up until he was neutered at almost 7 months. As far as your little one not listening. You will need to teacher her what your words mean. You will need to teach her one word at a time. Don't forget to give her a treat when she does a good job! I started with sit, lay, no, come. |

| ![]() Thanks for advice....it just gets so discouraging sometimes. I guess because when I got my first one she was about 11 months old so she was pretty much trained for the most part. This is the first time I have had to raise a PUPPY.....

Donating YT Addict | ![]() I also wanted to add that my baby was great going on the pad from 9 weeks until about 4 months old...then he seemed to forget everything! I have read so many post about this suddenly happening at about 4-5 months old so we are back to square one, beginner potty training. I have no idea if it is related to teething or if it's a boy maturity thing. (I'm beginning to doubt the boy thing because the little girls relapse too) So I guess I'm really not any help just know your not alone! (yeah! 2 days with no accidents so far!)
