Basically, I have her sit and have the treat in my hand. Once she is sitting, I let her smell the treat and move my hand around her body in a large circle. She ends up making the circle herself to try to get the treat. BUt like I said, we only started this today, so I will see if it is going to work.

| I taught my 6 month old yorkie how to lay down, roll over and spin by using a treat in my hand. Whever the head goes the body will follow, so grab their attention with a treat and start moving the treat in the direction you want them to go. After I taught him how to lay down for a couple of days I moved on to the rolling over. I had to physically get him started on the roll, but after several tries he understood he only gets a treat after completing the roll. Just have patience, they will get it! Also, some dogs take a bit more time to become comfortable with being on their back. It's not really a natural position for them, so if you notice your dog is going out of their way to avoid that you will have to spend extra time working on that particular trick. good luck! |

| My pup is 3 months and 1 week old today. He's so adorable! He's a really fast learner. I taught him to sit, lay, roll over, spin, gimme his paw, gimme a high five and I am working on beg right now. I can't get him to do it. Any suggestions? |
