Hello all! I was wondering if it is possible to train my yorkie to go to the bathroom inside and out. I've had him for about 2 weeks and he has been going inside on the potty pads. He's been doing ok. Not as good as I would want him to be, but what can I say, he is only 9 weeks old. Anyway, would it confuse him if I train him in and out?? If anyone has tried this please let me know how you did it. This is my first dog so I'm still learning a lot.

One of my yorkies go inside on newspaper and outside. My other one will only go outside. Always have the papers available, and take her out as you will. Praise her whenever she goes, and wherever she goes, unless it's on the carpet or somewhere else taboo. I always make a big deal out of pottying, giving them a treat and alot of hoopla. lol. If you catch them going in the wrong place, just whisk them to the right place. If you find out after the fact, there's not much you can do. Good luck!
