| New Yorkie Mum with questions Hiya! I have a coupla questions and would appreciate your advice. We have only raised a poodle so my first question is specific to Yorkies. 1. Does everyone tape their puppies ears and at what age? 2. What sort of treats do you use for your puppy? I can't seem to find something that is small enough for Windsor's little mouth. He is 9 weeks old. Thanks for your help!! |

| Hi and welcome to YT. I never taped Murfee's ears and they stand up great. As for treats, there are lots of people on here who sell great treats. My little guy is just really picky!!!

| Hi and welcome to YT!! Congratulations on your new Yorkie I don't know about the ear taping, as my two had their ears up when I got them. As for the treats, try to keep them very small and soft, such as little bits of cheese broken into tiny pieces, or cheerios work really good too, I used those and broke them in half, as my Yorkie tended to inhale things when she was young.

| Hi, and welcome to YT! What part of Georgia are you located? I lived all over the state before moving to Florida 15 years ago. As for treats, cheerios, small bits of cheese, and Scooter's all time favorite --- peanut butter (but only in small amounts) |

| For treats we use little bit of cheese and cheerios. Franklin LOVES Yorkie Yummies but they're probably too hard for your little one right now. Once he gets older, be sure to contact Cindy (chattiesmom) and order some. They're wonderful.

| Hi Kimbers, Congrats on your new puppy I too have a 9 week old yorkie he is my little buddy I give Odie tiny pieces of apple, and we went to Pet value and they had homemade treats and he loves them too. I also have liver treats but only give them to him once and a while because they tend to go *thru* him. Nicole and Odie |

| welcome! i got my Kash at 9 weeks. he's 12 weeks now. i never taped his ears because they were already up when i bought him, and they haven't fallen. i feed Kash freeze-dried liver treats i got from petsmart. they are big cubes, but i cut them up into quarter-sized pieces. they are very dry though, so if you get them, cut them up on a napkin or plate because they leave dust/crumbs... i just cut several pieces up and set them aside so i don't have to do it too often. Kash LOVES them!
