| 5 yr old female yorkie freaks w/out my girlfriend! My girlfriend and I bought a 5 year old yorkie from a pet store, and she is so attached to my girlfriend. Whenever my girlfriend leaves she crys and crys until she comes back. Is their anything I could do to ease her from freaking out when she leaves? |

| welcome!! My family also adopted a 5 yr old girl who was attached to me. what we did was wait till her feeding time and my hubby would feed her instead of me. then he would cuddle and rub her while I was in the room. it wasn't long before she was sweet for both of us. good luck and welcome!

| A 5-year old from a pet store? She could have some separation issues for sure. Do you know where she came from before the pet store? You will need to be very patient and very loving. But you need to find ways to get her to trust you as well. Journey826 had some good advice surrounding feeding time. If you share a few more details, more will offer advice. There is a LOT of experience with just about any issue here on YT. Oh, and WELCOME!!
